I was looking around The Range the other day for some Halloween themed craft sets. Although they had some...interesting Halloween decorations, unfortunately they had no make it yourself kits. However they did have a good arts and craft section where I picked up these to make my own Halloween goodies. For 75p each why not!
Inside you get a variety of pom poms, eyes, pipe cleaners, lolly sticks, holographic card and foam shapes.
Let's see what spooky creatures I created, along with their names and personalities.
First up is Pumpkeeny. It's a rather sad creature who wants to be noticed yet is too shy to come out from its hiding place.
The ever dreaded Thwipple. This fearsome creature is able to look in two directions at once to spot its prey. Once spotted it uses its long tongue to catch dinner and noms on it with big yellow jaws!
The rather adorable Wibbleworm. This little guy is harmless unless you cross its bad side, which is a big mistake. It is also extremely fast! If you do manage to catch one it's so impressed with your speed it will become your companion and guard you from harm.
The one eyed Gwomple used to be a lot more prevalent but not seen as much these days. They used to impersonate those little pom pom things with the sticky feet (you know the ones) but since not many people have those anymore, Gwomples have become rarer.
Antles are more of a pest then anything. They are ok if you leave them alone but can give you a bad bite if you walk in on their nests.
Fliffles are weary creatures and if seen usually look dead. This is because when frightened they play dead in hopes they will be ignored. No one has seen one 'alive' before.
Lastly, we have a Gringlegrunk. This guys are hyper little devils. Never let one into your house or they will excitedly run around your house chewing on everything, acting like a happy puppy.
These were good fun to make and name, and reminded me of being in primary school trying to make things using pom poms paper and some glue.
I have quite a few bits left over so I feel some Christmas decorations may be in order later this year!
