Monster beads? Monster beads!
Saw these in a shop yesterday and thought hey something sorta kinda connected to Halloween, let's get them!
I've never seen these before and I was intrigued by them. Cute monster collectibles that have a second use (being able to wear them as jewellery) what's not to like, apart from the possibility they might be rubbish of course...
Brix 'n clix company seem to sell a rather strange range of toys. They have these (which in the video says they shine but mine don't, pah), A fashion doll you can pull in half to swap bodies around, babies with tiny eyes that come in giant yoghurt pots and smell of fruit, something called Mechanix with a confusing video where half of it is blank, remote control cars with an incredibly 90's video ad, and a rather terrifying storytelling Henson/Froud creature called Yano ( go to their website and watch all of their videos, especially the Yano one. My brain is divided, one half horrified by the thing, and they other half really wanting one of my own.)
I don't think I top that but never mind onto the beads themselves.

In the pack you get two of the monster beads and a plastic bracelet you can attach them too. I was disappointed that the pack didn't come with a card to show how many you can collect or their names, so I went onto the monster beads website. I apparently have Evilyx and (I kid you not) a Charmanda...I know it's spelt slightly different to the Pokemon but wow.
No others have slight rip of names that I could see, but some of the weirder names include Pukity, Pantypow, Peesquick, Treasurpee and Bipolaria...

The back of them are velvety which is more comfortable if you want to wear them, but having it all over would have been nicer.
For the price I paid for them, they are decent enough. I have bought far worse for more money. Mine fit together well and don't seem like they would come apart once you clicked them together.
If I saw them again I might buy them, just so I can make an entire bracelet out of them like it shows on the front of the packaging. Maybe a necklace too, and then sit on a street corner cackling as I talk to my Yano, whose batteries are dying and so only speaks in a slurred, slow, terrifying voice. Or not, I haven't decided yet...
