This year was a pretty nice Halloween. Had some good films to watch, some drinks to slurp, and some snacks to nom!
First up was this cider in my special pumpkin glass.
Although a medium cider, it was quite sweet although still pretty refreshing to drink, and went well with my first snack

These were SO good! I wasn't sure if I would like them as I don't usually like sweet and savoury together, but these worked perfectly with its sweet, sticky yummyness! It's something I wouldn't mind trying to make myself.
The first film of the evening was Demons!

I love this film so much! The plot is cheesy, the special effects are amazing and fun, and the music...oh the music... 80's metal at it's finest, so check it out!
Next up was the cocktail to keep me going through the evening which was vermouth and Monster Ripper.

This drink I decided to call the all night zombie as the monster keeps you awake while the booze makes you tired, but you can't sleep and end up walking around in a sleepy, zombie state.
I hadn't tried that Monster flavour before, but it was really nice, kind of sherbety is the best way to describe it. That with the vermouth made a rather lovely cocktail that's cheap, easy, and tasty.
The snack to go with this was lemon and slime Jaffa Cakes.

I like they went with a bit Halloweeny with the name of the flavour.
The lemon and lime flavour is lovely and strong, with a bit of tartness which gives them a bit of depth than if they were just sweet. Very yummy!
While eating my Jaffas I put on my next film for the evening, Tokyo Gore Police. This is one of my favorite films as it's so over the top and weird. It keeps your attention to the very end with is amazingly gory effects, the main protagonist and her background story, and over the top feeling to it all.
It has a man growing a hand chainsaw, exploding heads, a woman's lower half turning into a monster crocodile type mouth and many more outlandish things you have to experience!
Next (and last) snack was the Mini Gruesome Gang biscuits.

On the back they have a little board game you can cut out and play with which I'll be keeping to have a play of sometimes,
Each pack comes with two lots of biscuits in with 4 different characters, with the backs covered in chocolate.
The biscuits were really crunchy, and slightly buttery, very nice! You can buy these all year round but with different character designs so I may buy those in the future.
The last films for the evening was Poltergeist.

My version has a holographic cover so the photo came out like this when I used the flash. It looks really odd, like the ghosts are emanating from the TV!
I think most poeple have probably seen it, so won't go over it much, but suffice to say it's a classic horror movie that is still capable of scaring you today!
And that was my Halloween evening. I hope you all have a lovley, spooky halloween too!
